AIRPORT – Male International Airport

TRANSFER – Touch down in Male and hop onto a 40-minute seaplane that will whisk you away to paradise. Seaplanes only operate during daylight hours so arrivals after 3pm can enjoy a night exploring Male. Another option is to take an internal 30-minute flight to Dhaalu before jumping in a speedboat for the final 10 minutes.

Little Wayfarers can run riot on the Isle of Play before resting easy on the Isle of Chill. With four different tribes under the Explorers Kids Club, you can kick back and relax knowing your young ones are well catered for.


The one or two-bed beach pavilions are the perfect choice for families seeking a little more space. Cots are provided free of charge, but extra beds for Wayfarers aged 3-15 come at an extra cost. Choosing pavilions with pools is also a neat touch for family lounging, however, those with smaller children may want to steer clear of overwater bungalows.


Niyama Private Islands Resort is a fairytale for Little Wayfarers – scores of sand, sea, and sun turn this desert island into an absolute dream. The Explorers Club sits right in the heart of the Isle of Play and offers everything from dolphin watching to forest running.

Children are broken into four tribes depending on their age, and all kids above the age of 3 can play for free. Outdoor fun areas include giddy trampolines, a splash park, a little munch kitchen, and a stage for all kinds of theatrics. Private Snorkelling Tours – Head out into the big blue with the islands own marine biologist. A private snorkelling tour with an expert will show you the rainbow delights of a surreal underwater world.



Sunsets are always at their finest when sipping cocktails beneath billowing sails as you glide out alongside a pod of bottlenose dolphins.


Glass-bottomed kayaks, stand up paddleboards, swimming with hammerhead sharks, deep sea fishing and catamarans – the Indian Ocean is your playground. A tapestry of sheer blue invites you to delve into the deep, coast along the surface, dolphin watch and dive right in.


Embrace the day in perfect harmony with sun salutation sessions, yoga classes or mat Pilates. If that’s doesn’t get your heart rate pumping maybe Kickboxing, circuit Traning or hitting a few tennis balls around the tennis court is more your style.


Deep in the delight of the central atolls, surfers don’t need to share their waves with anyone. The Niyama Private Islands is the only luxury surfing resort in the whole of the Maldives where waves peel right onto the shore.

Niyama is surrounded by quality waves perfect for intermediate to advanced surfers and also home to some mellower breaks ideal for beginners looking to find their feet.

A powerful left-hander can be found just off the edge of the Isle of Play or jumping on a quick 5 min speedboat over to the west will see you surfing Kasabu Surf Point, a hollow right-hander.

Another barreling right-hander Hocus Pocus is down to the east, and back on the island at Niyama Corner the Vodi surf point throws up a more mellow and longer left-hander.

After sharing waves with family and friends, the surf beach shack back onshore is awesome for a cold beer.

Your journey to Niyama requires either a seaplane or inter island flight both of which have restrictions on baggage and the length of surfboards. Be sure to confirm prior to travel.
