Canggu is the chill zone for laid back surfers. Echo Beach is one of the most notable spots in the area, boasting a powerful left hander. Expect offshore winds during the dry season (April to October) and greater crowds during peak surf season (June to August).


Surrounding Breaks


Canggu’s Echo Beach is what put this Balinese stretch of coastline on the map. It is one of the most challenging breaks in Canggu. Ideal for intermediate to advanced surfers, Echo Beach is a left which breaks over a reef bottom and is considered one of the best tubes on Bali’s west coast.


Old Man’s is named after the infamous hip bar perched on the sands. Contrary to it’s name, Old Man’s has some power and is another magnet for beginners looking for magic.


Batu Bolong is one of the favored spots for beginners and long-boarders craving fat wide waves and a forgiving sand bottom.


Berawa consists of one long beach break with a couple of small scattered reefs.
